So Gabriel told his first joke today. I was buckling him into his car seat and he did something to make me laugh so I said, "Gabriel, you crack me up." To which he responded, "Mommy, even though I crack you up you're still not an egg."
I'm so used to my kids' non-sequitors that it took me a few seconds to realize the intention of his comment. And then it hit me--my son is hilarious! I laughed out loud. More than once. What great fun this is!
